On Wednesday, February 14, 2007, the Faith & Politics Working Group with The Center for Vision & Values at Grove City College will be sponsoring a lecture by the prominent historian, author, and Professor of History at Georgetown University, Dr. Michael Kazin.
Michael Kazin is Professor of History at Georgetown University. He is an expert in U.S. politics and social movements during the 19th and 20th centuries and is currently working on a history of the American left, to be published by Knopf. His most recent book is A Godly Hero: The Life of William Jennings Bryan. He received his B.A. from Harvard in 1972 and his PhD in History from Stanford University in 1983.
Dr. Kazin is not a conventional GCC speaker. In addition to being a distinguished scholar, he also serves on the editorial board of Dissent magazine (founded by Irving Howe in 1954). Come prepared to hear a different perspective!
